I took these just before bedtime this evening.
I didn’t notice he had an orange tint around his mouth (from the orange gatorade he had at dinner) until it was too late. Getting candid expressions on Nathan’s face is usually pretty easy. I just start talking to him about something and shoot a photo when he’s not expecting it. Kayla is a little more difficult to get a candid expression out of because she knows I’m going to shoot a photo, so I have to work harder with her. “1, 2, 3 say cheese” doesn’t work at all because I get these huge fake smiles that are funny but not very good photos.
