Monday night was an eventful time around here. Kayla was so excited to finally lose her first tooth and then a couple of hours later, Nathan was jumping on his bed before bedtime and ended up with a broken elbow. Amy took him to the local minor emergency clinic first. They did x-rays and thought it was dislocated. They tried popping it back into place (which in hindsight wasn’t necessary and caused him more pain) and eventually came to the conclusion we needed to go to Texas Children’s hospital. They looked at the x-rays that were taken earlier and said there was no dislocation, but there was a small fracture. So, he’s in a splint for 7 days and then a hard cast for 3 weeks. He’s doing MUCH better now and is adjusting pretty well to being right handed (he’s a lefty).
