Lots of birthdays around here recently. Nathan turned 5. Kayla turned 8. Amy turned thirty…….something.  I can hardly believe my youngest is now FIVE. For some reason it seemed like he was three for a long time but it seemed like he was 4 for about three months. The time is flying by! Nathan really enjoys the music at church and as the photo below shows, he pays more attention than we realize.  A couple of the guitar players in our church band (Randy and Micky) wear headphones and sometimes use a capo (I just had to look that up – it’s the clamp thingy that lets you easily change the pitch of the guitar). We celebrated the New Year with friends in Buffalo (Buffalo Texas, not NY). We had a ton of fun playing ping pong, pool, air hockey, video games, and shooting fireworks.
