Frisco

We had a chance to visit my sister and her family in Frisco (just Frisco – not short for San Francisco) this past weekend. We had a good time catching up and the kids had a great time with their cousins. What did we do? I can pretty much sum up the weekend with two words – baseball and swimming. We swam for several hours when we arrived late Thursday afternoon. Even though the truck was telling us it was 104 when we arrived, it still didn’t feel as hot as 98 here in Houston where the simple act of breathing is enough to make you sweat. Nathan and I went to a Rangers game Friday night with Shane, Brandon, and Dylan. It was a fun game and a Rangers win 12-2. The Astros could learn a few things from the Rangers. First, they could learn how to score runs. I don’t think the Stros have scored 12 runs in the last 4 games we’ve gone to see combined. Second, the Rangers know how to put on a fireworks show! Very well done.

While we were at the Rangers game, Amy, Kayla, Krista and Drew headed to The American Girl store. Krista brought back a present for her two older boys. It didn’t go over so well!

Kayla also had a chance to ice skate for the first time.

Nathan tried to spend every single moment he could in the pool. And, if he wasn’t in the pool, he was asking when he could get in the pool!
