Recently, our church started undergoing some serious renovation since we had outgrown the existing space. This area, northeast of Houston, is growing like crazy. Our church management team worked it out with the construction company so that we would still be able to hold services in our normal place albeit under some less than ideal circumstances. The other option was to hold services elsewhere which involved a whole different set of problems. Anyway, to make it work the construction crew gets free run of the place during most of the week. Saturday morning though, the construction zone transforms back into a worship center for Sunday morning.

20 minutes after the last Sunday service ends, it’s a construction zone again.

It’s been an interesting experience and a good one for our church to go through. Through all of the inconveniences and hassles, I don’t think we’ve seen any kind of attendance drop-off. People are excited to see the changes each week and looking forward to how the larger facilities will allow this church body to have an even greater impact on the surrounding community. I’m so thankful for our church leadership.
