Kayla, Nathan and I had my good friend Jeff and his two older kids over for some pool/grillin’ time today. The kids had a great time and the Dad’s did too. Always good to catch up with one of my most interesting friends. He’s been dealing with the often “under appreciated”, life-altering, and life-shortening disease Lupus (which he has unofficially renamed Chronic Hellitis) for several years and is now at the point of needing a kidney transplant.

The day reminded me of my new favorite video “Dad Life.” And, as luck would have it, Jeff just happens to drive the exact same type of minivan that’s in the video. Sweet.

Hey Ken!
That video is funny and I bet it made your friend laugh. Sorry to hear about the Lupus. There’s a lady at church battling it – and it is “chronic hellitis” from what she says. It’s good he has a friend like you to help him laugh and enjoy life to its fullest.
Nice job Ken. Jeff is one of a kind.
